It's 14 deg F and the wind and snow stopped blowing. These lovelies made a brief 30" appearance once the sun dipped below the horizon. What a treat though my Z8's battery compartment froze up either from the plastic contracting or icing?

Thank you. I am always awestruck when I have the privilege to watch and film these birds and what made this evening even more special was not only the true "blue" hour light (well really purple) but the absolute silence. Observing these birds flying, swooping, and diving without a sound was mind blowing.
