As summer fades to Autumn here in the southern hemisphere we are about to say farewell to our migrant seabirds. Amoungst them are the Fluttering Shearwater who will soon be heading north to pest-free islands to commence once again their breeding cycle. But before doing so, they treat us to large gatherings of post-breeding flocks along Auckland's north eastern coastline. Its a special treat to view them from a kayak
