Learning trough mistakes & gear madness

There is something to learn from this short video, maybe for everyone visiting Africa.
So often a lot of time and debate is spent on gear & lens selection and the desire to cater for all eventualities........... which becomes nullified during action time.

I have myself travelled with most of my gear, arriving exhausted and then only using 1 or 2 lenses. Could not help but thinking of all the lens selection threads.......
I have experienced overcrowded game viewing vehicles and if you are lucky 6 passengers but mostly 9 per vehicle sometimes 10.
In a crowded environment like that it is impossible to handle 2 cameras and you would loose more opportunities and possibly drop & damage something.
Simply put one cannot cater for all eventualities on a long trip and don't be gutted if you don't get the shot because your lens is too long or too short or not fast enough.

Any case each to their own, I just I think I have changed my opinion about gear and what to take on a trip and never forget to enjoy whatever I am doing.
I would rather focus on the technical aspects of wildlife photography, using my gear to its maximum capabilities.
