Lens control ring and EV not functioning

Hello

Using a Z9 and PF 800 lens . I have assigned the lens control ring to exposure compensation, which is confirmed in the menu display (Lens Fn ring exposure compensation). However in aperture priority or manual with auto iso turning the ring does not change exposure compensation however exposure compensation changes if I use the exposure compensation (+/-) button and back dial.

What is always confusing is making sure you are setting the control ring. It looks like you have configured the Fn ring. The 800 should have a Function ring and a control ring I believe.

Well, I don't have an 800- PF lens. But I think you've chosen the wrong control in f2 to change. Looks like you chose the Lens Function ring and not the control ring. The two are different.

Late Edit: Marty posted the same answer just before me. I think what we wrote is the answer to your question.
