Lens Filter Issue

I'm reading reviews on various lens filers. One of the main issues that keeps popping up is that they are difficult to take off once screwed on.

Does anyone have a hack or idea as to prevent this problems? A little Vaseline on the threads before placing it on?

filters with brass rings are less a problem than aluminum rings.

Some lens outer metal rims are easily deformed with fairly light pressure, causing binding.

Holding a filter ring with 4 fingers and the thumb when possible usually makes it easier to remove a filter.

I've only had a filter stick to the lens filter threads twice. The easiest thing is to use a strap wrench (lightly applied) or a plastic variation. Basically having even pressure around the whole ring makes it come off quite easily.
