This dual gimbal is a new addition, which enables mounting a pair of rigs with complementary lenses/cameras. Ideally a prime and a zoom, or a pair of zooms are setup to capture the same subject simultaneously.
The Leofoto DPG-1 is a significantly lighter and collapsible design. It's the alternative to the Gimpro Gemini, which is a special order product.
Crucially, the panoramic plates rotate, in the horizontal plane, which the inner screw secures in the dual locking mechanism. This design is the prerequisite to adjust each lens to frame the same subject as the distance changes. Besides recording video as you capture stills, one can also switch between different fields of view for stills of the same subject.
