Today is Remembrance Day in Canada (equivalent to Veteran's Day in the US) and decided to post this photo of a juvenile Red-tailed Hawk on a lamp post with the Canadian Flag fluttering in the background. I also added a Poppy to commemorate the day. The photo of the hawk was taken in a park in the middle of city of Toronto. The wide open space in this urban park with abundance of natural prey brings all kinds of raptors to the park in the winter months.
