Hi,
I had some vacation for a few days and tried out my new Nikon D500 - thank you again for all the good recommendations under general photo discussion! - for the first time hiking through the forest in the Wachau on the Danube. Instead of posting images in landscape, macro and wildlife separately, I thought I might show them together here. For all images I used my AF S Nikkor 18-200mm 1:3.5-5.6 GII ED lens with my new camera. The first is a view down to the Danube and Dürnstein, the second an Asculapian snake, the third a European Green Lizard, the forth a Mantis and the last is a sort of inside the woods view. For the critters it was very hard to get these shots. They normally vanished faster than my shutter speed (I saw 3 snakes, 2 Mantis, 4 lizards,...) or were gone before I had my camera turned on. I hope you like them and any also critical comments are welcome to help me learn.
Best,
Mike
