have been filming this eagle nest for 12 weeks now and even during 3-4 hour stints I am lucky to get one or two feedings. This particular one I was fortunate in that I did have the camera running, in slow mo, and I managed (ie I did not try to "Save" film) to keep it running. I do not know if the Mallard survived as the tree is on a steep hill on fenced property so I could not chase it. Imagine the ducks eye view as it arrived at the nest - into the jaws of dragons.

Link does not work for me Richard.

Sorry guys. I have checked the link and it is valid and all permissions are as they should be on Vimeo. The link works when it is not on BCG. I even tried a cut and paster and that will not work. I will paste the link here and see if it works.

Very cool Richard, I was really rooting for the Duck!
Cheers,
Rudy

Thanks Rudy. Judging by the missing right wing feathers and the torn feathers in it's back, and the eagle pursuing it, I rather doubt it survived. The eagles have fed on ducks, fish, marmot and a garter snake that I know of. Dave - no I did not add audio to this clip.
