On a South African safari in 2019 we watched this lion family. Dad decided to become frisky but Mom wanted none of that, and she let him know in no uncertain terms. For almost a minute the two adults faced off, roaring at each other. The body language of the youngsters almost makes one think they were embarrassed with this very public argument. Image cropped low to eliminate a white sky at the top.

Hope you were a fair distance away, because that Lioness in the middle is sizing you up for lunch. Lovely image of a prideo_O
I think that little one in the middle was showing its embarrassment with the adults arguing like that in public. :). Almost like "sorry about them carrying on like this". We were on a jeep and these wild animals generally see a jeep as just another animal moving around the bush. They typically don't associate the vehicles with humans to be eaten.
