Little White Surprise

I was at Monte Vista NWR last week looking for Sandhill Cranes with some other photographers when this little white surprise popped up just a few feet away. It had several holes nearby that it was running between. It seemed to enjoy teasing us and posing for us. I hadn't even thought of photographing an Ermine but it was a special treat.

A gorgeous little critter! its face is nearly identical to our Slender Mongoose - which is "red"
