Lubber Grasshoppers are a favorite meal for the Loggerhead Shrike. They are toxic to most birds. When they are young they are black with orange and yellow details and when they mature the turn the orange color as shown in this photo.
Nikon D7200 and a Tamron 150-600 @ 1/1000 - f5.6 - ISO500 @ 300mm
