I only now have a panasonic G9 and G9ii cameras, but what I didn't know about updating lenses.
At the time of updating the G9ii camera I just ( for some reason or other) could not update using windows 11 but managed it on my wifes Mac laptop. That was either direct or via an SD card with the camera fully charged and following the update instructions
I was under the impression that the lens update was on the camera . I since found out that it is actually on the lens not the camera. I found this out when I checked the lens version on both cameras. Having "discovered" this I searched on the internet and nowhere could I find this information.
So in future if I can't update a lens firmware on one camera I should be able to do it on the other
