Honestly the light changed during the stack which I’m pretty sure screwed things up. It was a mixed day of sun and clouds. It still turned out decent all things considered.Pretty flower...but the yellows don't seem to have much detail. The details that should result from focus stacking are not that visible. Check the histogram and see if the white or brights are blown or can be reduce to reveal "hidden" details in the flower petals.
I normally keep a 12 inch diffuser with me to block any harsh light but unfortunately I didn’t have it with me this time. At least 8 of the images were overexposed but I thought it would possibly balance out. Outdoor flowers are very difficult, especially to avoid movement even with a plamp device.Nice shot. I am finding it takes some effort to control the brightness and saturation of flower colors when doing focus shift shooting. I know there is a way. I just haven’t mastered it yet. Keep on shooting.
Blue, green, orange seem ok while red, yellow and magenta seem harder - for me.
