Typical drab fall colors, but this is the best photo of a Magnolia Warbler I've taken to date. I spotted 3-4 of them from my balcony this morning. A bit later I drove down a service road behind my place. Lo and behold this Magnolia Warbler happened to be foraging in this bush right next to my car, allowing for close range photos. Some of you may know that fall warblers are some of the most difficult birds to photograph. They're drab, they're mostly silent (they don't sing), and they zip through the canopy, rarely coming down to eye level, so I was thrilled to have this encounter.
I had my TC14e attached thinking they'd be farther away, so this was shot at F/9 600mm.
