I have problems photographing Magpies because of the dynamic range blacks and whites. I took a few photos this morning and spent time playing with them in LRC. This is the best I came up with.

Robert - they are nice birds.
I have never used LR but you can use Hue/saturation in PS, click on the bluish-white o the neck and remove the blue cast. You can also do it with selective color and remove the excess blue from the white.
