Cape Sugarbird, Promerops cafer, Kaapse Suikervoël feeding on the proteas in Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, Capetown, Cape Peninsula, South Africa.
This is one of two endemic SA birds, the other being Gurney's Sugar bird. Superficially resembles the sunbirds but not as colourful and much larger. M ~ 41 Cm & F ~ 27 cm. most of it in the tail.
