Mallards in flight

In the midst of a snowy winter here in Minnesota I found some open water with scores of mallards and some swans. A lot of activity. SO I reviewed Steve's video on BIF and finally had some success! THANK YOU STEVE.

Nikon D850: 200 - 500 mm lens. Image taken at f5.6, 500mm, iso 640 and 1/4000 sec. (shutter priority).

Thank you Dan. My lucky day!!! FOR SURE! I must admit that I had the D850 set to "fully automatic" with the extra battery base to give me more FPS. I couldn't have done this with one single shot. In my time I have done a lot of film photography and there is no way I could have captured this image with one of my good ole' film cameras. Go Digital!!
