Mama brought son out to say hello (notice the little "nubbins" (buttons) on his forehead?).
We all like to get that perfect shot of the mature buck standing majestically in the field the master of his universe with no obstructions, perfect blurry background, nothing busy in the foreground etc. However, nature doesn't usually cater to our photographic desires. She can be messy, sticks, grass, leaves, tangled brush in the background, and a doe and her fawn appearing on the side of the trail far too close to get anything but a head and shoulders shot before they nonchalantly strolled back into the brush disappearing from sight.
