Marsh Owl - original color and black & white

SHot this last month in the southern sergenetti. Fun following the owls as the lifted out of the grass.

Wondering about processing the color into monochrome. How white should I make the sky? How does the owl look? I do mostly color processing and working on my B&W processing.

I like the color version more. Maybe tone down the contrast a little in the BW one?

Color is fantastic, as your usual work. BG on B-W is bright, get on it and tame it
