Maui Sunset

The best way to get great sunset shots is to go to a place where the average sunset is amazing and then things get better from there.
The first shot is SOOC from LRC with no adjustment. The second shot is after clicking the Auto button. I did not even take the time to clone out the offending branch.
Nikon D5000 w/ 18-55 kit lens. Shot in 2010. With Covid isolation, revisiting old shots and cleaning up the catalog seems like a good idea.

Absolutely agreed. That branch was also serving as a left side boundary for some handheld panoramas I was doing. My processing skills have advanced since these photos were shot, so iti s time to revisit the past and fix things.
