I'll say this now: I'm not a landscape photographer, preferring to focus on critters, varments, wascally wabbits etc etc. However, my 200-500mm lens is away at Nikon being repaired after an expensive slip so I thought I'd spend some time exploring with my newish D810, just for fun.

These are of a disused pier near where I live in BC. As someone who isn't a landscape guy, I'd be interested to hear how you would approach such a structure.
