While attending a recent Photo event at the Schlitz Audubon Center, Bayside WI we had an opportunity to get up close photos of their resident Raptors, all non-releasable. It was a great day. Those are not the photos posted here.
Since it is an Audubon facility, there were plenty of resident birds to capture on camera. Here are a few of those shots. The juvenile Red-tailed Hawk, in particular, was causing a lot of concern in the captive raptors. It was quite interested and hung around for most of the day despite the constant harassmewnt from the Red-winged Blackbirds.
Anyway, here are a few shots of the wild birds. One photo is from a feeder bercause that is my first photo ever of the White-breasted Nuthatch. The "ghost" behind the Nuthatch was a Red-winged Blackbird.
