I got hooked a couple of years ago on night sky photography so I am always looking for dark skies. Monhegan Island is located 10 miles off the coast of Maine. Population: 68. One seasonal hotel, a couple of B&Bs, and a few cottages for rent. I was able to rent a 90 year old cottage for a week. After the 4 pm tour boat leaves, it gets really quiet. No streetlights, no cars. I saw no one after dark, with or without a camera :)
