White-faced Capuchin Monkey --- watching us slide by in the boat, Sierpe River, Costa Rica. This illustrates many of the problems of wildlife photography in rain forest conditions --- a lot of foliage, invariably between you and the subject, often backlit and usually higher up in the canopy resulting in "arm fatigue" . When you add in frequent rain showers and shooting from a small boat, it's a miracle you get any "keepers" at all ! D750 with 300mm PF plus1.4 TC (420mm) @ f4 1/800 sec., ISO 5600 (high ISO values can also add to the challenge !). 03/03/17.

Central American Spider Monkey --- whilst "popping" down to the reception bungalow at Casa Corcovado, Osa Peninsula Costa Rica, I heard rustling from above and was greatly surprised to see this mother with infant passing through the canopy. My stalking them from below resulted in this "lucky" shot ! Moral of this story, when in a wildlife haven always bring your camera, (primed) with you, you might get lucky too --- no camera, no chance ! D750 with Nikkon 300mm PF plus1.4TC (420mm) f4, ISO 3200, 1/800sec.. 05/03/17.
