Went to Burgess Junction in the Bighorn Mountains of Wyoming this past weekend in search of Moose. Found three separate bachelor herds and a few smaller groups with cows and calves some just a few days old. We stopped counting at 50 in just a small 5-mile radius of the area. Now I'm tempted to return in the fall for the rut.

Wow. You did find them. I've never seen more than five young bulls together. Maybe three or four cows.
There were two good sized bachelor groups. One had 17 and the other 14.
The rest were in groups of 3-4 to a half dozen. Crazy. Now I want to go back for the rut in the fall.
Much Moose!
For sure.

The first time I saw a moose, I was amazed how big he was. These are excellent images of beautiful animals. Well done and thank you for posting!

That's really cool. That's a lot of moose in one spot. I hope you find them again for the rut. You should have taken a few more shots to the left and right on that first shot and stitched them together. Not often you get the chance to make a moose panorama

Meeses lol
What a find. Wonderfull photos of a truly majestic animal!
Thanks so much

I thought about a pano but the two groups had a lot of room between them.
