I am a newbie, been photographing with a Canon R7 crop sensor since June.
I shot this with a Canon 800m F/11 lens in October here in Montana (yes "budget lens" so fixed at F/11)
I arrived at the summit at sunrise, but the goats were on a NW facing slope and thus in the slope shadow.
So I waited 5 hours for the sun to swing to the southwest and the slope got some sun.
The goats were 180 meters away and it was physically impossible to get closer and stay at eye level.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
