shot last year with the sigma 24-70mm art, which i find is a lot sharper than the nikon equivalent, but unfortunately the IS doesn't work on that lens so i sold it.

Yeah it was, but unfortunately i only researched the IS issue after i bought it and was surprised to see that all the reviews were talking about it not working properly. But i'm eying the 24-105mm ART and will be buying it, they're rather cheap on the used market.
