I believe they were also introduced in the UK and are now considered an invasive species

Yes, i was referring to the UK Tiago. That's where i live

Wonderful perspective, Tiago! I have not heard of this species. Are they similar in size to dik dik ?

I can help here Karen. Muntjacs weigh about 3 times as much as the Dik Dik, and noticably larger in frame and height

Thanks! I now have a sense of their size. If not native, do they adversely affect the area?

I can only speak for the UK, and as far as i know, they dont have a bad effect here. They're escapees from a place called Woburn Abbey Safari Park, in the UK South , and some got out around 1925, and have been breeding successfully in the wild here for nearly 100 years.

I think they're a beatifull little Deer
