My backyard barred owl. This is one of a breeding pair that have been hanging out for months. I live on the edge of a large metropolitan area and the house backs up to a wooded park. I’m still surprised that we get owls hanging out every year.

So cool. Good for you. We have Western Screech owls. They only come out after dark, sing their song a lot, and for the life of me, I can't find their nest in the cottonwoods.

Thanks, Ssheipel and Dave B.
Dave are owls have been very active in the day for the last 2 week also in Oregon.
