Nice sighting. Years ago there was a leucistic red-tailed hawk just south of Flagstaff (Arizona) that I saw from the freeway, but of course I couldn't stop and take a photo (plus I only saw it flying into the forest). I looked it up online to find out what it was and others had observed it in the same area.

Beautiful. We have a very dark-bodied red-tail in my area. Interesting that they both have bright red tail feathers.

I learned today that we have 2, the mother and 1 offspring that is also Leucistic.
