What lens were you using?
I guess you must have been positioned on land as the ice could be too dangerous to walk on.

Hi Gavin:
I use a D850 w/ a 200-500mm. There is a trail by the water/ice. Swan was about 75-100ft off to the north from me just coming in for a landing.
