My D850 Randomly Changes Image Area to 1.2 from FX

I've been caught in the past shooting with 1.2 instead of FX and know that I did not change it. It has happened quite a few times and I was always clueless. Once, it has switched to 1:1, and another time to 5:4. I think that I found the culprit yesterday.

I use a Vello BG-N19-2 grip and after taking it off yesterday, I looked at the quick menu to check some settings for some photography I was doing at church today. I noticed that it had again switched to the 1.2 Image Area, Thinking back, I seem to remember that when it has happened in the past, it was also related to removing grip. I don't think it happens when I reattach it. At least it didn't just now.

Just thought I would share in case someone else has had a similar experience..

I had a similar issue with my D500 and then realized that when carrying it with the grip attached I was inadvertently changing the command dials on the battery grip.
