My first Verdin

I've been to a few state parks and wildlife areas in the Rio Grande Valley this past week.
Lots of excellent birding in this area.
Yesterday morning I visited the Estero Llano Grande SP, TX.
My favorite picture of the day was of this Verdin.

Never heard of that one. Very nice. Not to everones taste I'd imagine but I think the bg is awesome.

I'm just getting started with birding and seeing birds that I've never seen before has been exciting.
