My neighborhood today fall colors

I went for a drive around the neighborhood today. Fall colors will peak in the coming week, about one week earlier than usual.
Today was cloudy and I also went out at the wrong time for the second image. There I had to shoot towards the setting sun so for that image I should go in the morning. I'll keep an eye on the weather this week and try to do these again on a cloudless day.

Thanks, Gordon. The farther north one goes the sooner colors turn when it's fall. Having said that you live so close to me that our temperatures are probably very similar, so you should see your colors also come in now.

Uitstekend, Koos! Just love the landscapes in your side of the woods, here it is my side of the koppies (hills) :love:
Look at #2 with the FG cut-off at the foot of the trees on the right!(y)(y)(y):love:

Thanks, Greg. I'm supposedly in part of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), but Milton is not a large town and I live on the northwestern fringe of town, close to the farming areas. Just a short drive and I'm in the countryside.

Thanks, Callie. You're right about the foreground in #2. I would normally have less foreground and more sky. Yesterday, though, the sky was such an ugly even white that I decided to crop it off. To prevent myself from posting a very panoramic-type of image I had to include more foreground. I'll keep an eye out this week - as soon as there's less cloud I'll go back and do it over.

In a previous life, I traveled to the Toronto area regularly. Our Canadian office was in Mississauga, near the airport. Also visited many other places in Canada; lovely country!
