This guy is one of a couple of males that hang out at my feeder. I hung the feeder in the shad on a tree branch, away from the steel pole I used before. That was out in the open and the direct sun made the temperature of the bottle and nectar hot. I think being in the shade also makes for more pleasant lighting on the bird.
