Need help with identity

Not real sure what this is. Butterfly? Moth? But this little guy was pretty small and I was surprised I spotted him. Shot from the driver seat of my work van. Suffolk Va

That's one of the bluewinged butterflys, not sure about the species you get on yor side of the pond.
In Europe there is several.

It looks like the eastern tailed blue (Cupido comyntas) butterfly. Nice photo by the way.
