We arrived just after the foal was dropped, seeing it scramble away in its effort to get up. until it could finally stand, about 30 min later. Magic in Africa. Kruger NP.D850, 80-400.

Beautiful. I really like the third one that shows both the foal and the mare as it gives context and shows the size of the newborn. A great moment you captured there!

What a great moment! Must be nerve-wracking for the mom that first 30 minutes though! You just know every predator in the area smells that afterbirth.
