FYI this new smart adapter NF-SE might help cut major costs if it works.
And Fringer's new NF-FX adapter includes AFD Nikkors (ie it supports 'driver AF). Their EF-NZ adapter confirms their engineers rvs engineered the Z AF successfully and they have subsequently released firmware upgrades for this adapter.
Thus, Fringer now hold both "sides" of the code etc for a fully functional NF-NZ, which would fix what's missing in the FTZ.
It will be ironic should Fringer show up Nikon!
