Next Nikon Sale?

If you would like to post, you'll need to register. Note that if you have a BCG store account, you'll need a new, separate account here (we keep the two sites separate for security purposes).

I searched nikonrumors for rebate announcements last April and May and they announced one in the middle of April. It looks like it'll have more than what's on sale now, maybe the 800pf will be discounted.

Thanks! I'm looking at the 800 pf. Alas, not currently on sale.
There is someone on this site who is advertising an 800 pf for sale. You will need a certain minimum amount of time on the site to qualify for the Marketplace, then send a PM to the listing member. I bought mine used off of this site and have been very pleased. The 800 is a very special lens.

I need to correct the above. The 800 pf is now listed as completed (sold). You might want to look on the FM Forum these lenses are often for sale used on their site.

They just were! Something to consider is if you can get a payboo card from B&H it will save you the sales tax. Depending on your tax rate that may be equal to of greater than the markdown. I bought one a few weeks ago and it was $500 off. I would suspect that's the best it will be for a while.

I was going to double-dip and get a payboo card and save the tax as well. They denied me saying they couldn't confirm my identity. That's some BS. Once denied you have to start over from the beginning and I didn't care to do that. Others have gone that route and it worked. My thoughts for what it's worth!

You can save considerably on quality Z equipment through the used/reconditioned market.

The 800mm pf frequently comes up for sale when the owner acquires the more expensive z 600mm f4 tc. Prices for the used 800 have gone for approximately $5500.

I bought my 800mm pf through the marketplace in this forum and have been very satisfied with the result.

Don't buy gray market if you live in the US.. Verifying the provenance of a used lens is sometimes difficult, particularly when buying from one of the retail stores. It is easier to verify provenance through a private sale. The seller should be able to verify the original purchase and may have the original US warranty card.
