So a question for all you former F-mount people 😁. Just picked up a “Like New” Nikon 500 f/4E FL for my D850/D6 bodies. Really looking forward to the extra reach.

Question for anyone out there with experience with Nikon’s TC-14 iii teleconverter with this lens. Other than loosing a full stop is it worth it?

I’ve been tempted to buy the TC 14 iii in the past having the 300 f/2.8 VRii but have in the end shied away for whatever reason.

I use a TC 14e iii with my 600mm f/4 E FL all the time with excellent results. I’d definitely pick one up for use with your 500mm f/4 for times where you want that extra focal length.
