Nikon DSLR blackout times?

If you would like to post, you'll need to register. Note that if you have a BCG store account, you'll need a new, separate account here (we keep the two sites separate for security purposes).

IIRC the Photography Life website reported the D500 as having 60% blackout.

Can the brains trust say what it is for the D850 and D5?
The D5 definitely has less mirror blackout and when I jump between the two cameras it's readily apparent.

That D500 review article you referenced listed the D5 at 10 FPS to have roughly 42ms of mirror blackout time or 42% of the time the mirror was up during continuous 10 FPS shooting.

I don't have numbers for the D850, but the overall high speed shooting experience is much better with the D5.

Many thanks DRW.
I have the chance of getting a young D5, and there's plenty of young D850s around.
Using a D500 at the moment (and an A9).
