Nikon EN EL 18D battery

Wondering if anyone of you has been using the Z9 battery on D6, D5, or D4s.
If so please let me know if is worth it to invest in one and a new charger for my D6. How much of an improvement in battery life I will get compared to Nikon En El 18c battery?

Back when I owned a D6, I contemplated the same thing when I was leaning towards buying a Z9. I figured if I bought the Z9, I would already have a spare battery. I'm glad I didn't buy the 18d because I ended up getting the Z8 instead. I never had any issues with the 18c batteries with the D6. So unless your next camera is a Z9, I wouldn't bother with the 18d battery.

No, my next camera wont be Z9 or any other mirrorless camera. I'm very happy with D6 and my all D line series camera bodies. I don't feel like I need to upgrade. They do all that I need and image quality is outstanding. I'm also happy with my EN EL 18c batteries but the 18D battery has more power capacity 3300 vs 2500 from D6. So it should give me an even longer battery life. Unfortunately, Nikon sells MH-33 charger without cables. The cable is another extra money to buy.

I wouldn't bother until you have to. At some time in the future, the 18c batts will expire (though we may be on the 18G's by then!) I've used an 18D in my D6 and D850's but to be honest, the 18C gives me more than I've needed in any given day. I've grabbed a few leftover 18C's as I still have and use my D6 and D850's.

En El 18D needs an MH-33 charger. MH 26a doesn't work with the En El 18D battery. MH-33 charger you can buy but it comes without cable. The cable is sold separately.

Not sure why you're asking when you know the answer. 3300/2500= 32 percent more battery life. The reason they sell the charger without the cable is because you can plug it in to any PD/cell phone charger capable of producing 15W.
