I am currently using the Nikon. Z8 with the Sigma 150-600 mm contemporary lens. I am mostly shooting wildlife including birds in flight. I am contemplating buying the Nikon Z 180-600 mm lens. Did anyone make the same switch and any feedback in terms advantages of the Nikon lens vs Sigma?

I have had the Sigma 150-600 Sport for many years. I compared it to the Nikkor 200-500 and, at least as far as my copies were concerned, the Nikon lens won out. I bought the dock for the Sigma and some tweaking made it a little better but I still preferred the Nikon 200-500. I got the Nikon 180-600 last fall and it's better than the 200-500 (again, my copies, sample of one). I've never done a direct comparison of the Z180-600 to the Sigma 150-600 as I don't see the need; IMO the Z will win hands down.

Thanks for your feedback. Much appreciated
