Video review showing the improved eye auto focus in action and the best explanation of the video differences between the Z6ii and Z7ii I have seen,

I’m disappointed they haven't done anything for the z6/7
admittedly there’s not much that they could do given the lack of tne 2nd processor; but tney could fix stuff...for example Save Settings does not save either the user settings nor MyMenu.
Nikon typically stops updating the firmware for cameras once a successor is released. I wouldn't bet on any more firmware updates for the Z6/7, other than the odd bug fix.

Whilst any improvement is very very welcome, its hard not to feel a bit underwhelmed, the cameras still seem like legit competitors to the a73/a7r3.

All I can say is that I'm glad that the camera has some decent Face/Eye detect because when it resorts back to the Auto AF it is basically dancing the red squares on just about everything in the frame other than the intended subject that is centred and nearest in the frame...total fail in my book. But the Eye stuff looks great. Question is if this is an actual improvement in the AF or just an improvement of the display of the Eye box (ie earlier). Remember when Canon updated the EOS R's Eye AF it was purely a cosmetic improvement and nothing changed in the AF performance. I assume this Nikon update is more than just cosmetics.
