Nikon z8 aperture not changing

I have it in A mode, and when I turn the little wheel on the top right of the camera, the f-stop doesn’t change? I’m using it with the Nikon 180-600 though it won’t change with other lenses either.

Have you tried both the rear (command) and front (sub-command) wheels? You can swap them in the menus if you prefer one vs the other so it's possible the other wheel is currently set up for aperture adjustment.
