Nikon Z8 Focus Shift Shooting - Keeping EVF showing a 'live scene' while in the focus shift menu

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know if it's possible to keep the Nikon Z8 EVF showing a 'live feed' of the scene whilst you're in the focus shift menu? I mostly shoot macro subjects with the camera handheld and sometimes find that, once you've composed the scene, gone into the focus shift menu and pressed 'start', either you've moved a bit or the critter has and the stack needs to be aborted and reset.

If there's anyway of having the LCD screen showing the menu and the EVF showing the 'scene' simultaneously that would be good.

Thanks - that's a shame. I just found another thread discussing this - seems a major handicap compared to other systems. I wonder if Nikon are aware as I imagine it's an eminently fixable issue?
