Nikon Z9 "Show effects of settings" not working. It is selected at d9 for always. It was working before the latest firmware update. What should I check?

What mode are you normally shooting in (full manual, aperture priority,...)?
It might be that the camera is in one of the auto modes (apparently that happens for some people after the firmware 5.0 install), which won't change your view if you change any of the three exposure variables (it will with exposure compensation).

Make sure Starlight View is disabled as that overrides Show Effect of Settings.
