Dear community,
for the time being I can see mostly birds in the "Most popular images" ranking.
Just tot get a bit more diversity please accept one shot from the immediate vicinity of my home.
This is in the flood plains of river Danube in Austria/Europe, about 5 miles air line from my home.
Because there are rarely people there because the terrain is difficult to access, the animals are extremely shy.
A few weeks ago I saw some deer drinking from the shore there when the wind was unfavorable. They made a run for it when they got wind of me. But since then, I knew that was a photo-worthy spot there. I inspected the conditions and decided to wait for a better wind, a southeast wind. Once my time had come.
I sat down, with my camouflage cape. Two hours of nothing. After sunset, when the light got worse and worse, I finally packed up. Just as I was walking, with my camera strapped to me just in case, I saw in the corner of my eye a pack of deer trotting down the embankment towards the water. I went immediately on my knees to gain a perspective as flat as possible. So fast I could not even realize at all, was already the first in the water, in short intervals followed all in a row. It was the first time that I could observe swimming deer. The next day the hunter told me that he also saw deer swimming in his territory only once so far. My joy was great.
Any comments warmly welcome:)
