Nice shot, Koos. If I don't see one, I hear one every day. They're very common around here.
Thanks, Callie. According to Audubon they often mimic other birds, and they are also quite vocal at night. I cannot say that I have really heard them before. We don’t see them often where I live, they are scarce around here and are more common down south.

I'm currently practicing to become a snowbird. Purchased a condo in Boynton Beach, Fla a year ago together with my daughter's parents-in-law. I'm still working so I can only go there a couple weeks at a time for winter vacations. Once retired, hopefully in about 18 months, we'll be able to go for 2-3 months at a time. Wildlife in that area is quite good, with a few neat wetland areas nearby, so each time I go there I'm assured of at least a few decent images.
